The Cala Grande ValleyThe 1 0 Cala Grande Valley, in the municipality of Santa Teresa Gallura, relaxing on the Western side of the promontory of Capo Testa Originated millions of years ago by a geological fracture is a place unique, natural scenery that offers spectacular views and breathtaking scenery of wild lone, wild and untouched, characterized by majestic boulders that the action of the wind and the sea has shaped in unusual and original forms, offering a spectacular side dish to the various coves surrounded by lush and unspoilt Mediterranean with its scents of MyrtleS Arbutus and Heather
This Valley is a large expanse of Mediterranean vegetation that slopes down to the sea and is, in fact, formed by seven smaller valleys divided by large granite boulders whose highest – tip the Turri-reaches 128 mt slm and is commonly called "the skull" This massive, with 9 tracks that branch off along the famous Moon Wall, is a popular destination for lovers of free climbing (or free-climbing)
The first Valley is a Valley straight, narrow and long, which runs down to the sea Enclosed on both sides by granite rocks, ends with an Esplanade that looks out over the sea where it meets the first of three coves in the Valley — 2 Cala di Ea 3 (Cala dell'Acqua) This Bay owes its name to the fact that just over upstream from the beach is la Funtana La Turri, a small spring, also active during summer, although small, located near an old Roman quarry Cala di the Ea is a patch of golden sand lapped by a medium-grained dark green and deep sea
Proceeding to the left, along a trail easy enough (you need to pass only a few boulders), we reach the second and the third Valley where lies the 2 Cala di 3 Pubic (Cala di Mezzo, as between Cala of Ea and Cala Grande) This Cove is separated from the previous one by a granite promontory called bear's Hand, while behind it stands the dinosaur Rock a natural sculpture whose shape resembles that of the prehistoric animal La Cala of Pubic has the same features as the previous
Continuing along the same path, always to the left opens the wonderful and lonely 2 Cala Grande 3 that gives its name to the entire Valley The Cala Grande is a picturesque corner of paradise, with fine golden sand lapped by crystal clear waters and a stunning emerald green, the backdrop for deep is a favorite destination for snorkelers and scuba divers
Always moving on the left, over high and rugged rocks, are the sixth and seventh Valley, while the fourth and fifth Valley, on the right towards Capo Testa, are hidden by a large Rocky conformation
Today, this valley is better known as Moon Valley 1 0, name that was given to him in the years 70/80 by a small community hippies who had chosen to live in full contact with nature The name was chosen perhaps precisely because of the beautiful granite with the Moonlight look extraordinarily impressive
