the Sardinian Cavalcade Folklore is an event that takes place without interruption since 1951 in Sassari, the second last Sunday in May.
Contrary to the hundreds of festivals that take place each year throughout the Sardinia, This stands out as a secular party, the only whole island.
On the morning of the festival, visitors can admire men and women paraded on foot, horseback or in carriages decorated with flowers, wearing costumes, each with different characteristics of fabrics, colors and jewels, its all-season.
The parade follows a precise order: opens the groups in the province of Sassari and is drawn from those of the province of Carbonia - Iglesias.
the afternoon the riders competed instead in reckless stunts that leave audiences breathless.
At night the festival concludes in a square in Italy, where the groups who participated in the costume parade in the morning perform in dances Sardinian Ballu on tundu on ballu torrau on dillu...and again the performance of the famous bands and singing tenor.

Popular Sardinian Cavalcade
